A new survey reaches us from GalaBingo.com which puts Coronation Street as most popular soap in the UK.
GalaBingo.com asked Brits to vote on which soaps they enjoy, with the results as follows:
Coronation Street (62%)
EastEnders (53%)
Emmerdale (40%)
Hollyoaks (18%)
The survey also showed the lengths that soap opera fans will go to in order to avoid missing the daily drama occurring on their favourite soaps.
Some 61% plan their nights around the evening TV schedule, and 78% have taken some pretty big steps to avoid missing out on an episode.
The top actions most likely to be taken are:
Recording episodes to watch at a later time (49%)
Adding a reminder or note to diary, calendar or phone (33%)
Finding a TV to watch while on holiday (16%)
Cancelling plans with friends (10%)
Watching on a device while travelling (9%)

Wonder where streaming services, like ITV Player, fit in this mix? I love not having to set my life by a tv schedule, and the watch it anywhere convenience.
