Preview of tonight's Coronation Street - Thursday 29th February 2024

Wednesday 28th February 2024

DAISY’S AFFAIR IS FRONT PAGE NEWS When Daniel asks Daisy if she’ll look after Bertie for a few hours she agrees, looking wistfully after Daniel. Daisy confides in Glenda that there’s still a spark between her and Daniel and she hopes they can get back together. But with Rita’s birthday party in full swing in the Rovers, Mary receives a message and accidentally airdrops it to everyone in the pub. Daisy’s face falls as she reads ‘I had a Torrid Affair with my Acid Attack Hero’.

NEWS OF HARVEY’S APPEAL ROCKS NICK AND LEANNE A family liaison officer calls to tell Nick that another man has come forward claiming that he killed Natasha and Harvey is planning an appeal. When Nick and Leanne tell Sarah and Damon about Harvey’s appeal, Damon reckons that Harvey must be paying someone to carry the can.

STEVE AND TOMMY GET PHYSICAL Tracy breaks the news to Ken and Amy that she’s been having a fling with Tommy. Ken and Amy are appalled. As Tommy puts the finishing touches to their bathroom, Tim tells Sally he wants him gone out of loyalty to Steve.

ELSEWHERE Sean makes Dylan promise to give Mrs Crawshaw the names of the bullies. However when he reads a threatening text from Mason, Dylan’s visibly scared. Dylan shows the headteacher the texts on his phone but when she asks him to name the other bullies, will he comply? Alya tells Dee-dee she needs a girls’ night out to take her mind off Joel. In the bistro, Alya and Toyah do their best to cheer up Dee-Dee but she wishes she’d stayed at home.

Coronation Street Episode Review Monday 26th February

Apologies for the lack of Monday night (Tuesday morning) reviews the last couple of weeks, I've been on me holidays.

STEVE - TRACY - AMY - CORONATION STREET - ITV

A special treat tonight as it's a whole hour of Jonathan Harvey and his double entendres as Steve finds out about Tracy's infidelity from Tim and D.S. Sal. Tommy O has been dribbling in Tracy's penalty area before sticking one in the back of the net and now she's been unveiled. This is the filth we know and love at 7.30 of a Monday evening. Tracy has agreed to Steve's suggestion of a vow renewal (you'd think he'd have had enough of weddings by now) but when Steve rushes round to tell his bestie, Tim tells all and Tracy, instead of begging Steve's forgiveness, says she is bored of him - and also Ken's furniture, for some reason. I guess she's over her nineties crush. Steve should think himself lucky that it's only the demise of the relationship and not him.

DEE-DEE - EMILY - CORONATION STREET - ITV

In other (sort of) infidelity news, Emily, the ex-Mrs Joel, turns up to defend her former hubbie, which seems a little shady to me. Also, at one point, Deedee says she's fed up of pandering to the patriarchy so Alya sends her home. Ok, firstly that's not in Alya's job description, secondly, I hate it when women, or at least female characters, become feminists when they've been done wrong by men, only to drop it when they're loved up. Talking of too good to be true Joel, the receipt for his cufflinks/charm bracelet was from Dec '23 - didn't Lauren get some bling from her "ex" at that point? I'm now trying to remember if there's been a scene in the caff with Joel and Lauren? If he's her older man, then surely his hanging around the Street all the time would be playing with fire?

ADAM - CORONATION STREET - ITV

Meanwhile, Adam is doing some MacGuffin stuff with John the chemo patient that involves stealing a CCTV tape. Probably best not to ask, tbh. Also, isn't it time the solicitors sprung for another table, then Adam wouldn't have to go stalk the streets each time he needs to call Harvey's illegal phone.

BOBBY - CRAIG - CORONATION STREET - ITV

Talking of Lauren, Bobby goes to the cop shop to report Lauren as a missing person. He speaks to Craig so I think we can safely assume Lauren will never be found.

Finally, just as Tim was onto Tracy, Carla is onto Daisy and Jenny as she witnesses Daisy talking to a rep at Newton and Ridley about getting their ale back into the pub. Daisy uses this as an excuse to "come out" as the co-owner of the Rovers, much to Jenny's disgust.

Preview of tonight's Coronation Street - Monday 26th February 2024

Monday 26th February 2024

WILL STEVE DISCOVER HE’S BEEN SUBBED FOR TOMMY? Tim tells Tracy he knows about her affair and she has to tell Steve. Tracy returns home with a feeling of dread, but she’s wrongfooted when Steve goes down on one knee and asks her if she’ll renew their vows.  Tracy finds herself agreeing. An excited Steve tells Tim that he and Tracy are renewing their vows and he’d like him to be his best man. Tim’s horrified, will he break the news to Steve that Tracy is sleeping with Tommy Orpington?

DAISY IS A LANDLADY IN WAITING Carla waits for a client in the Chariot Square Hotel and chats to a rep from Waterfords who explains that he’s meeting Daisy, the owner of the Rovers. Carla assumes he means Jenny, but as she heads off she’s puzzled to see Daisy arrive. Daisy tells Jenny she’s secured a deal allowing them to stock Newton & Ridley. Jenny’s annoyed but Daisy points out she is co-owner of the pub. They’re horrified to realise Carla’s heard every word.

DEE-DEE COMES FACE-TO-FACE WITH JOEL’S EX Emily calls at the flat and after confirming that she and Joel are separated, assures Dee-Dee that he’s a good man at heart and she mustn’t give up on him. Will Dee-dee be able to forgive Joel for keeping Emily from her?

ELSEWHERE As John awaits his chemo, Adam quizzes him about his true whereabouts on the night of Natasha’s murder. Adam calls Harvey in prison and tells him there’s a problem with John’s evidence as there’s CCTV footage of him visiting a shop when he was supposedly murdering Natasha. Harvey instructs him to destroy the footage. Adam despairs. When Bobby calls at Lauren’s flat again to find there’s no answer, he heads to the police station to report Lauren missing. Craig promises to make some enquiries.
