Coronation Street spoiler: Ken remembers who attacked him
The previews are in from ITV for next week’s Coronation Street, and there’s a lot of detective work taking place as Ken starts to remember who pushed him down the stairs.
Inside No. 1 Coronation Street, a decanter of whisky gets knocked over and it’s this that jogs Ken’s memory about the night he was attacked. He calls round to see Sinead to apologise for all that he put her through after she had her abortion, and as he goes to leave the flat he’s horrified to recognise a pair of trainers.
Ken tells Roy that he remembers seeing the trainers when he was pushed, meaning the owner must be his attacker!
But then Adam tells Ken he’s fed up and is leaving Weatherfield. He calls at No.1 with his bags and Ken spots the trainers – does this confirm Adam as Ken’s attacker? A visibly scared Ken then shows Peter the trainers and Ken calls the police

Ken packed Adam's things and brought them to the hospital after the dealer beat him up. If the trainers had always been in Adam's possession Ken would remember them having been in his grandson's luggage back then too and not just now.
Even if they belong to Adam, Ken had forgotten them at Daniel and Sinead's place so Adam couldn't have worn them on the night of the attack.
Round and round and round we go, where we'll stop, nobody knows.
Getting very tired of this storyline now. They do like to drag things out, don't they?
If it's one of the family members or even if it's sinead, I think Ken will not press charges. If he doesn't, would the police continue to charge or not? Seems like sometimes they still charge people but it's not always the case.
Who said Ken packed them in the first place? It wasn't the biggest bag in the world, and if they weren't in Adam's bedroom, he may not have packed them as he may have thought they could be Daniel's or Sinead's?
Jeanie (anon): I originally bet on Daniel, but now I think it will be his mom. We know she's coming back to the show and that, most likely, it's been some mental disturbance that separated her from Daniel. What else could it be? It also seems likely she must be out and about since Daniel suddenly wants to go back to tend his old flat. I'm guessing that Ken will blame Daniel, but the trainers will turn out to belong to his mother. Maybe Daniel will cover for her for a while.
Same difference, no? It doesn't matter why Adam didn't have them, just that he didn't on the night of the assault and they're at Daniel and Sinead's flat.
We saw the one bag Ken put on Adam's bed but since he was being sent away forever, there had to be more and they didn't pack themselves. Daniel was surprised to hear Adam was gone and I can't see Ken asking Sinead to pack, so the logical conclusion is that Ken once again let himself in and packed everything he thought was Adam's.
I agree that Ken won't want press charges, especially if it's his golden boy,Daniel, or Sinead who he'll figure out had an abortion after he talked to her.
The police will have to drop it if Ken doesn't tell them who it is. They don't have any hard evidence of exactly who did it or they wouldn't be arresting a new person every week.
I still say it was Amy. She is Tracey's daughter after all!
It's a bit Cinderella isn't it? Does everyone in that family wear the same size slipper, I mean trainer?
Eh? You've totally confused me here, sorry
I was just looking at a picture of Ken laying in front of the door...there's a kettle on the ground. Maybe Ken didn't fall down the stairs (he had no fractures), maybe he was running from the kitchen. I think it was Daniel. I think Ken told him that he was responsible for Sinead's abortion and Daniel lost it. He was probably making a friendly cup of tea just before it all kicked off..
Either that or it's Eccles (Cucumberpatch!)
Was the tea pot/water hot or cold? If cold he was coming down from getting water in the upstairs bathroom, if hot he was coming from the kitchen...yes, no maybe so.
I don't care anymore it gets boring after too long
My God enough already who pushed him? At this point I would push him myself.
