Coronation Street Runner, Manchester
This just in from ITV Jobs: As
we transition to six episodes, Coronation Street are looking for an
experienced Floor Runner to join their busy hard working team providing
efficient back up to 1st, 2nd and 3rd Assistant Directors ensuring
smooth running of the shoot.
You will help artistes through the
costume and makeup process and communicate the progress with your team.
You will also escort cast to and from set, and ensure scripts, camera
plans and call sheets are available.
We will look to you to
ensure the studio floor and locations have clear access and egress and
are kept tidy. You will work on location and in studio keeping your team
members informed of any problems and changes throughout the day. Other
tasks will include charging radios, providing refreshments for cast and
crew and general housekeeping duties.
Our Floor Runner will have a
can do attitude and an appreciation and passion for programme making in
keeping with Coronation Street’s high production values. Excellent
communication skills are a prerequisite as is your ability to deal with
people of all levels. Due to the nature of the role you must be able to
accept flexible working hours and work with absolute discretion and
confidentiality.
You will have experience working in Television
as a runner in a studio and location environment, and a proven interest
in and passion for TV. You must have a high level of accuracy, be
organised with excellent attention to detail and strong interpersonal
skills able to liaise with production and non production staff.
Due
to the nature of the role absolute confidentiality is required. These
roles require a very flexible approach to work and working hours as you
will be required for some out of hours working including some evenings
& weekends, Coronation Street is not 9-5.
The 9 month fixed term contract will run from 26th June 2017 so applications will need to be available from this date.
