I reckon the silly old fool tripped over the dog. All these "suspects" - pure red herrings. None of them, not even Phelan, would be done for attempted murder.

Derelict Cucumberpatch said...

Although, wouldn't it be great if Phelan was done for something he didn't actually do, and found guilty. That would be hilarious!

It would be. At this point I don't care how Phelan gets his comeuppance as long as he gets it and leaves Corrie in handcuffs.

I think that would be perfect for Phelan - after getting away with so much, being convicted of a crime he didn't commit!

Who was the heavily hooded character/red herring who got on the tram?

I don't know how, but I can't help feeling that Chloe weirdo is involved. Poor Ken has been through a lot lately. They've given him more screen and story time then he has had in years.
Personally, I don't think any of them would do this to Ken, except for Adam.

The hooded figure was Adam. Not confirmed yet but he was the one that Amy had been phoning about money. Seems she snuck around and gave him the money she got from Ken to replace the bogus violin.

Why on earth would Ken give 13 year old Amy £200 in cash? He or Tracy would have paid for the violin, also they didn't even ask where the new violin came from.

I think it was Adam making noise downstairs as he looked for the cash Amy said she'd leave for him but didn't. If Adam pushed Ken, it was because he was startled by Phelan (but can't figure out why he thinks it's okay to let himself into a client's home at night). Where's Eccles? Maybe Ken just tripped over her.

Derelict Cucumberpatch said...

Eccles was there, sniffing around Ken when he was on the floor. Also, if he was pushed down the stairs, that would mean someone was already upstairs. You can't push someone downstairs from below.

Still say he tripped over the dog.

I was discussing this on another thread and someone there suggested Chloe did it trying to set Peter up. that could be a very good guess, the "expendable crew member" syndrome.

Phelan like Stape and Tony etc cannot stay as he has commited murder. Ken really touched a nerve with Phelan. He was on the edge because of Todd. He was feeling the 'guilt?' of what he did to Andy. He was drunk. He was not his usual smooth conniving self. I think he did it and like Richard Hillman....this is just one more to his list. Also it will give Gail and Eileen something to talk about...lol
