It's been 28 years since Gina Seddon was on Coronation Street.
Back then Gina was played by Julie Foy. This time around, Gina will be played by Connie Hyde (above) who has starred in The Bill.
Gina's daughter Leah, played by newcomer Molly McGlynn (below) will also be joining the soap. She'll be Rosie and Sophie's cousin.
Coronation Street's producer Kate Oates teased Gina's return in an interview with Inside Soap yesterday as she discussed her future plans for the Websters.

Great actress choice in Connie Hyde. Her few years in The Bil as PC Cathy Bradford (or Batty Madford as I used to call her!) were brilliant acting. The way she went from portraying a normal, everyday character who evolved into an absolute nutcase. I look fortto see what she brings to the role of Gina.
Is Molly McGlynn related to Katie McGlynn (Sinead Tinker) by any chance? Not a common surname.
