Coronation Street spoiler: Amy gets Adam arrested

Adam's arrested next week in Coronation Street, on suspicion of the attempted murder of his grandad, Ken Barlow.

Everyone's shocked by the arrest, not least Tracy, who Adam suspects was the one who pushed Ken.
Adam knows from Luke that Tracy wasn't with him, as she said she had been, on the night when Ken was attacked. So is anyone telling the truth?

The Barlows will turn on each other in a rather nasty fashion next week and it's Amy who calls the cops...

Yes, Amy phones the police, telling them to check the fingerprints on the new kitchen worktop that Phelan fitted on the night of Ken’s accident. The police interview Adam, revealing they’ve found his fingerprints on the kitchen worktops which were only fitted the night of Ken’s assault. Adam’s floored.

What does Amy know?

And surely everyone in the family knows that Adam has been working on finishing the kitchen since then. Of course his fingerprints would be on the worktop. That kind of lie from Amy would be very easily exposed.

But we just saw Adam working on the kitchen...I know because it was a shocker to know he could do that! lol So of course his prints would be there! What is Amy playing at? Is she thinking it is her mom and is trying to protect her?
Just read Tvor's comment...lol...same page....cool!

It depends on where the prints are found. Obviously, the police know Adam is back on the street and could have access to the kitchen countertops so it might be that the fingerprints are on areas that would have only been accessible before they were put in. Besides, come to think of it, why is Adam so interested in working on the kitchen all of a sudden? We didn't so much as see him peek at the work being done there before.
Is it to erase or justify evidence against him that could be found there like his fingerprints?
