Charles brought Bev a birthday cake in the shape of the Rovers Return.
Bev also opened up on the show about her mental health issues and being an ambassaor for the mental health charity Mind.
She said: “My doctor seems to think I’m bipolar two. which I didn’t really know what that was. With ordinary bipolar you get massive highs and massive lows and I don’t get the massive highs. I get the bad bits really.”
Describing the illness she added: “If you’re a strong person it can get you down. I think depression is the curse of the strong.”

Oh I would LOVE it if Jim McDonald could come back permanently, love him!
Well his character is supposed to be released in 2018.
Liz and Jim have great chemistry and they don't have to be romantically involved. If it wasn't for the stupid prison storyline with Peter, there would have been very reason for him to return to his son and grandchildren. On the plus side, they'd have probably messed up his return so better to keep him as a good memory.
Thanks for that info, it seemed like it would be about time for him to be released even though his sentence was extended.
Jack and Vera stayed together for years....why not Liz and Jim? I think they have real chemistry and I love to see them together. Also as Beverly has issues with her bipolar it would probably be good for her to work with her long time friend Charlie.
Bring him back and let them have the pub is what I say! :-)
