I understand that Yasmeen needs the distraction of a grandchild and Zeedan might like the idea but Zeedan is even young to be married since he seems to want to become a chef and has to figure out how to hang on to his father's share of the gym despite the 15 000 pounds his grandfather took out of the business account. Considering how level headed Yasmeen usually is, I'm a bit surprised that she's not keeping priorities straight: if you're selling your heirloom jewelry to raise a dowry, adding the expense of a baby seems like a bad idea.
I like Gemma well enough in small doses but you'd think she'd learn to stay out of the affairs of people especially those old enough to be her parents and whom she barely knows (ex. Mary's baby search). I doubt she was as much of a busybody when she ran drug dealer Callum's errands in the bad part of town or she'd have been killed long before now.

Presumably there is a job going at Roy's because Anna is still on sick leave, and Cathy has left. I pity Roy having to choose between Todd and Shona! But there always seem to be job vacancies in the almost empty cafe, hair salon, pub and kebab shop, so I expect they will both get fixed up.
If I were a social worker I would send all my troubled young people to Coronation Street. There have been so many young'uns who have been rehabilitated there - Fizzz, Wayne, Becky, Gemma, Kylie, Maddy. Is Shona going to be the latest to see the light?
But I do think Billy is acting strangely. He is obviously feeling bad about leaving the church, and is over compensating. I never thought he had much to offer as a vicar, apart from looking lovely in his robes, and I fear he is out of his depth here.

The whole plotline seems to have been done so many times before, in different variations. So what's the point? It just makes Corrie seem so old and boring. Can't the writers come up with any new and possibly likeable storylines???

OH, this makes Yazmeen so unlikeable for a change. Team Rana! Team they never should have gotten married if they have to live with Zeedan's grandmother and never discussed family planning. ha ha!

Enough with overqualified people like Todd and Toyah, working in shops and pubs and cafes. Toyah could easily drive to her old job as a counselor. I know that they want to maximize character interaction on the street, but come on, there is no plausible reason to put Toyah behind the bar and Todd at Roy's.

I agree about the comments about Toyah and Todd working in the café.
A few months ago,Bethany asked for a job there but was turned by Cathy. So why doesn't Roy offer her a job instead?
As for Shona,She better not be stealing from Roy while she's working there!

I have to say that if my grandmother-in-law gave me ovulation kits in an attempt to force me to have a child as quickly as possible, I would slap her face soundly. It's 2017, surely Rana is more than just breeding stock?

Aidan stating that he's going to open up in competition with Johnny is beyond laughable. There can't possibly be enough business and resources available to sustain the faktry, never mind two faktries! Besides, why wouldn't Aidan start a business that is more modern/relevant and lucrative??
