Next week on Coronation Street, Steve and Michelle prepare for the funeral of baby Ruari. But as you can imagine, emotions are still running strong and things take a turn for the worse.
Inside Soap magazine tell us this week that after a few drinks in the Bistro, Michelle starts yelling and crying and then storms off into the night.
It's Robert who finds her, highly emotional, on the edge of a very high bridge and ready to jump. Robert manages to talk her down from the bridge and as he does so, Michelle leans in for a kiss. He doesn't take advantage of the situation, however but Michelle does go on to pour her heart out to Robert after he saves her life.
Kym Marsh, who plays Michelle McDonald in Corrie, tells Inside Soap that Ruari's funeral "is exactly how Michelle and Steve want it to be." And, the magazine tells us, Steve and Michelle will be back on track soon and ready to face the future together. Steve suggets a break to Ireland to stay with Michelle's parents.

Jumр Michelle jumр! The best рossible ending to this terrible storyline! :)
Harsh!
It would be nice if Michelle and Steve could come through this together, stronger and united.
It would only be temporary though, as what chance for their relationship once Michelle finds out that Steve fathered Leanne's baby?
I was also thinking "Jump! Jump!"... done with this story line already! I hope it is not something that brings Steve and Michelle together but rather, breaks them apart for good and sees them both paired up with someone more suitable and plans for their lives that are more suitable for each.
I don't see how pairing Michelle with Robert will make for interesting television but anything that finally gets her out of Steve's life is great so I'm all for this.
I also have never been a fan of Michelle and Steve as a couple. She sucked the life out of him. Simon is a great comedic actor, imo, and if he has to always have a wife or partner, it would be great to find someone who could support or handle his shenanigans. A partner who actually likes to have fun. Bring back the fun Steve. Corrie needs him. A lot.
