Retro award: Rosie's back and as social media savvy as you would expect. (take that any way you'd like but I'm enjoying her daftness)
Ground Zero award: Peter things his relationship isn't a war zone. His usually end up that way, though. Ken would be right warning Toyah and wishing her good luck.
Mentor Hell: Phelan's going to have Sneaky Seb work for him. Seb doesn't know what he's in for!
False Hope award: Johnny believed Sinead's nervous excuse for working overtime and told Chesney she was saving to take him on holiday.
Tattle Tale award: Did nobody ever teach Daniel that being a tattle tale often means the messenger gets shot as well? Ken didn't shoot the messenger but Adam had his revenge in the end. Leading us to...
Integrity Fail: Adam could have passed the exam even without cheating and that was his downfall with Ken.
Flamin' temper award: Chesney doesn't lose his temper much but he's a ginger and he's got a temper and knows how to use it. With some justification this time, mind you, but Daniel certainly held his own. I think that temper of his might turn out to be a bit of a problem down the road.
Sinead 1, Adam 0: She's right. He can't be too smart if he resorted to cheating on an exam.
Lines of the week:
Tyrone "I already owe you a smack, Kev, don't push it" (he was, too, wasn't he?)
Peter "This is a relationship, not a war zone" (ah but your relationships usually are)
Daniel "Even intellectuals like a bit of goss"
Eileen "Is that Rosie Webster? What's she doing here?" David "Time, by the look of it"
Rosie "I thought he was the One. Turns out he was just the one that was using me!"
Daniel to Sinead "Are you thick as well as daft?" (ouch!)
Billy "You're up on your Exodus, are you?" Kirk "No, never took a drug in me life!" (*snort*)
Daniel about Adam "It's like living with a Scottish Tigger bouncing off the walls"
David to Shona "Why are you always so weird?" (I'm wondering that myself)
Adam "Barlow's Solicitors. We keep the bar high and the prices low" (groan)
Rosie about Billy "If he was straight, I'd *so* find religion!"
Todd "I need a job. You're a chancer, Adam. I need a job, not a pipe dream"
Brian "Gardening not your bag?" Rosie "Not unless it's Prada"
Chesney "It's not what she's been doing, it's who she's been doing"
Daniel "Everything scares you, Chesney. Fear and Weakness define your entire existence. That's why you'll always come second best"

I think the significant point to come out of Daniel's clash with Chesney is that Daniel really lost it the moment Chesney asked if he was going to 'run home to Mummy?'. There really is more to be told regarding Denise' mysterious disappearance.
I'm wondering if Denise really just left for parts unknown on a whim. She might have had a degenerative disease or mental health issues and be in a long term care facility either in GB or abroad. If she entered of her own free will she might retain control of things like her finances and bank account, which would explain why Daniel could live for years after her "disappearance" without getting a job.
Besides, who says it's really been years? It seems unlikely that a minor could be abandonded, keep going to school and have no one figure out their parent was gone. For all we know she may have gone recently when Daniel was of age.
Could Denise has left because Daniel was abusive towards her? E.g. His temper?
I think he was supposed to be 15 when Denise left wasn't he? I've thought the same as Maricha, could someone so young really live their life without anyone finding out?
The other thing I find unbelievable about him is that for a guy who's supposedly inexperienced, he's very self assured! I really like him so far.
As for the details of what's happened to Denise, I hope the scriptwriters make it something believable when the time comes. I'm not feeling confident about that!
Not feeling very confident either. Granted, the police didn't have many clues but why haven't they contacted the Barlows yet with any info.
I can't see that happening without her contracting the authorities to get him help or asking Ken to come deal with him.
She wouldn't be like a fleeing battered spouse who knows her abuser can fend for himself; this was her teenaged son.
