Michelle Connor’s marriage to Steve McDonald will be put to the test this spring when her first love arrives in Weatherfield.
Will turns up in the Rovers to book Michelle as his wedding planner but she is stunned to realise her new client is an old flame from her teenage years.
Leon Ockenden, best known for his roles in Waterloo Road and Mr Selfridge, has been cast as the charming ex-boyfriend and it isn’t long before Will and Michelle are taking a trip down memory lane.
With Steve McDonald still over in Spain helping out brother Andy, Michelle has been left running the pub and helping with Steve’s daughter Amy, whilst trying to run her own business.
And it soon becomes clear that there is unfinished business for the former lovebirds as they spend more and more time together planning the wedding.
Can Michelle and Will avoid temptation or will they risk both their relationships by letting their feelings for each other take over? Will Steve arrive back in Weatherfield in the nick of time?
Will’s first scenes will be screened in April, Leon and Kym started filming together this week.

I don't see why Steve couldn't step out of the shower. Just as likely as this plot device for Steve's return. Liz gets on the phone, urging him to return. Goodbye Will and back to the status quo.

Perhaps this is one member of the Connor family who should be culled.

I think they're rewriting history anyway. Surely the (now dead) father of her never - mentioned son Ryan was her first boyfriend as she was practically a gym slip mum, and she wouldn't have another boyfriend until after he died, some years later?
Well I guess this will give her something to do on the show apart from tending bar part-time and taking care of the never to be seen Amy. Where is Liz lately - we haven't really seen her, haven't seen Sarah either, but that is a blessing.

Well sadly we did see Sarah briefly last night, just to tell fishwife Anna to keep her voice down. But if you blinked you missed her.
First love? really? As someone else said, she and Dean had Ryan when they were teenagers, very much in love and stayed that way until he died. How old was she when this fella was her first love?? 12?
well we know Corrie is not very good with history or calculating years passed or even poor lost babies. Even characters completely rewritten. We should be used to this by now.
No, she didn't cheat on Steve, she dated Hamish, for a brief period, after Steve dumped her because of his depression as he didn't want to burden her with it.
