Coronation Street Wedding Dress Goes Up For Sale
Bury Hospice have Kirsty Soame's wedding dress from Coronation Street up for sale. The purple frock was worn by Kirsty at her ill-fated marriage to Tyrone.
Kirsty ended up in prison after her abuse of Tyrone but the wedding dress had the ‘wow’ factor as their story-line came to a conclusion.
The dress has hung in the props department at ITV until the popular soap decided to donate the distinctive purple two-piece outfit to Bury Hospice to help to raise funds.
.
This is Lancashire say that the hospice’s retail and volunteer service manager Sam Duncan has opened a wedding shop in Radcliffe with many new and designer dresses up for grabs at bargain prices.
She said: “The soap generously donated the stunning purple gown to Bury Hospice following the announcement that we were opening a new bridal boutique and were appealing for people to donate their pre-loved wedding dresses.
“Coronation Street fans and brides-to-be now have the chance to own the dress. We want to thank Coronation Street for donating the gown.”
The dress will be auctioned online on eBay with the listing running for 10 days from Thursday August 16.
It will be on display in Bury Hospice’s boutique on Minden Parade in the Millgate Shopping Centre if anyone wishes to try it on. The link to bid on the dress is here
