Donnaleigh Bailey is returning to Coronation Street and this time she'll play Craig Tinker's new copper mentor PC Jess Haywood, reports Metro Online.
Donnaleigh might be best known to Doctors fans for playing Michelle Corrigan ...
... but she's been in Coronation Street twice before. With thanks to Corriepedia - In August 2015 she turned up as Practice Nurse Clark at Rosamund Street Medical Centre who tended to Simon Barlow's badly cut arm following a tussle with his stepmother Leanne.
And she returned sporadically between April and December 2016 as PC Woodruff.
Her other credits include roles in Dangerfield, Crossroads, Holby City, Doctors and the 2005 movie One Way Love.

If she previously appeared in the show as a policewoman called Woodruff, why not make her new character Jess Woodruff? It's a tiny, tiny thing, but infinitely more pleasing.
