Street have an exciting opportunity for a Prop Dresser to be part of
our award winning team to undertake duties in studio and on location
including the setting and striking of scenery, the dressing of sets
& props and ensuring that all operations are conducted in a safe and
appropriate manner.
You will be responsible for erecting and
dismantling scenery safely and in accordance with the relevant codes of
practice, safety procedures and Health and Safety Legislation and have a
creative input into dressing sets and location etc working both off
camera and on camera depending on production needs.
Oup Prop
Dresser will be able to adapt to dealing with a range of tasks across
the department, prepare character and dressing props and act as
standby/action props when required.
You will attend to all the
production’s needs including preparing food for scenes, general tidying,
cleaning and maintenance of existing sets/ locations and support and
pass on your skills and knowledge to Trainee members of the team when
required.
Ideally you will have a wide range of experience
working within TV/film Drama Design environment and a knowledge of
Health and Safety legislation and COPs, particularly in relation to
working with potentially hazardous working conditions or materials
(ideally IOSH qualified) SFX skills and experience and food Hygiene
qualification is desirable.
You will be experienced as a Prop Dresser with proven track record of working in a Drama environment
Flexible
working hours; including some irregular or anti-social shift patterns
e.g. weekend working early starts and/or late finishes, often doing
repetitive tasks. When working on production need to be adaptable to
late changes/amendments to hours
