Amanda Barrie, who played Alma Baldwin in Coronation Street, is among a new crop of stars embarking on the journey of a lifetime when travel documentary series The Real Marigold Hotel returns.
The hit series – inspired by the 2011 film starring Dame Judi Dench – will be back next year.
The new cast also includes Dennis Taylor, Rustie Lee, Doctor Miriam Stoppard, Bill Oddie, Sheila Ferguson, Lionel Blair and Paul Nicholas.
The programme follows eight senior citizens as they head to India to see if they would consider retiring to the other side of the world.
The new four-part run will see the group travel to Kochi, a city in the south-west Indian state Kerala, to test whether they can set up a more rewarding retirement than in the UK.

The first season comprising of three episodes was fantastic, charming and delightful -- a combination of documentary and reality show that delves into each of the character's personal challenges and motivations for visiting India for the first time at their stage of life. The participants were well chosen for their diversity but also for their chemistry. In episode 2, there is a particularly moving segment when the group visits the Taj Mahal in Agra.
I didn't realize they did a tv show about this. I shall have to see if i can find it! I really liked the two movies, the first being the better of the two as is often the case.
That cast list is like jumрing into a timewarр back to the 70's and 80's :)
Totally agree with anon @10:41. Tvor, you will really enjoy!
