Alan Halsall, who plays Tyrone Dobbs in Coronation Street, has won the National Television Award 2013 for Serial Drama Performance.
Lovely picture here (via @digitalspy on twitter) of Alan Halsall with his trophy, and wearing Bill Tarmey's watch.
The awards took place tonight, Wednesday 23 January 2013 at the O2 in that London.
Alan beat his Corrie co-star Michelle Keegan (Tina McIntyre) who was also nominated for this award along with Emmett J Scanlan (Hollyoaks) and Adam Woodyatt (EastEnders).
Well done, Alan! Richly deserved.
The award was presented to Alan by Nigel Havers (Lewis Archer) who joked that on his first day at Coronation Street he said he was there to "posh it up".
On receiving his award, Alan thanked Corrie creator Tony Warren, Executive Producer Kieran Roberts, Ex-Producer Phil Collinson, the Corrie writers, cast and crew, his wife and family and gave a special thank you to Liz Dawn and to the late Bill Tarmey. "I love you," he said.

Well done to Alan - a very well deserved award, long overdue but all the sweeter for that I expect.
Congratulations to Alan.
After week after week of hearing of High street giants going to the wall as if there was no end to it, and with some reports forecasting more to come - how refreshing and cheering then, to hear of someone achieving recognition for a well deserved success!
A big well done, to Alan!
