Pics: Corrie Red Carpet, National Television Awards 2019


Last night was the night of the National Television Awards, which was shown on television live from the 02 in London. The host is Dermot O'Leary.

Coronation Street was up for three awards but sadly didn't win any. The show was nominated as Best Serial Drama (aka soap).  Alexandra Mardell who plays Emma Booker was up for Best Newcomer and Jack P Shepherd, who plays David Platt, was up for Best Serial Drama Performance.

Here then are some of the Coronation Street cast as they arrived for the night's awards bash and  photographed on the red carpet.

Vote for Corrie! National Television Awards 2019


The shortlist has been announced for the National Television Awards 2019.

Votes must be in by noon on Tuesday 22nd January 2019. All new votes will be added to those cast in the first round.

You can vote for Coronation Street in the following categories:

  • Best Serial Drama
  • Serial Drama Performance - Jack P Shepherd (David Platt)
  • Newcomer - Alexandra Mardell (Emma Brooker)

NTAs: Coronation Street red carpet pics


Last night at the National Television Awards, Coronation Street's Lucy Fallon who plays Bethany Platt, won the Serial Drama Performance Award. Well done to her! She even beat the Queen of the Street, Barbara Knox who was also nominated in this category.  Emmerdale won Best Serial Drama (aka Soap).

Lucy Fallon wins Best Serial Drama Performance, National Television Awards


Lucy Fallon has won the award for Best Serial Drama Performance at the National Television Awards which took place tonight, Tuesday 23rd January 2018.

Lucy won the award for her performance as Bethany Platt in Coronation Street, and it's richly deserved too. She even saw off competition from Corrie's own Queen of the Street, Barbara Knox, who was also nominated in this category.

The National Television Awards was screened live on ITV from the 02 in London with host Dermot O'Leary.
