A wonderful bit of archive footage has turned up on the BBC Archive which they posted to twitter today.
On this day in 1980, Coronation Street reached 2,000 episodes. And so the BBC sent along their reporter to Weatherfield to interview William Roache (Ken Barlow), Doris Speed (Annie Walker) and Jack Howarth (Albert Tatlock) about their roles in our favourite show.
