Coronation Street review: October 2016

It's almost the end of yet another year on the cobbles. And so, without any further ado, here we go with a round-up of events from Coronation Street month by month - in 100 words or less.

October 2016

David sets the street alight and Anna's set on fire, Tommy Orpington arrives, Peter Barlow rerturns and Ken suffers a stroke, Sophie leaves for Miami, Freddie takes Rita dancing when the Zambesi club closes down, Freddie moves in with Fiz and Tyrone, Sarah and Gary get together, Eileen becomes suspicious of Phelan, Steve's worried when Jim says he's been diagnosed with myotonic dystrophy, Faye gets a new boyfriend called Seb, Colonel Kebab accuses Dev of copyright theft.

Quotes of the month:
“He’s fast! He’s mean! He likes a fruit machine! He’s Tommy O! He’s Tommy O!”  sings Steve and Tim about the Weatherfield County footy player.

“Have it large!” Fiz tells Rita as she sees her leaving for her night out with Freddie.
“It’s the only way I know how!” Rita replies.

When Beth and Kirk reunite she tells him: “I’m like a cheese sarnie with no pickle. Come home and be my pickle again.”
