Aww, shame!
I would LOVE IT if Carla came back. And chose Peter over scowly Nick. Dear god...grow up Nick! Better yet...Adam!! Meow. She does have a history with Scots!
Noooooo....stay away Miss Blackbird....I hated her exit storyline but I have had enough of this awful, soulless character.
Maybe, maybe not. They're saying Eileen Derbyshire is definitely coming back.
I wonder if it's she who Peter's been hiding.
After watching tonight's ep I was really hoping that it was Carla that Peter had been seeing just to put that uppity Nick in his place - Oh I would just love to see his face when he found out - unfortunately it doesn't look like I'll get that Christmas present, but that still does not solve the mystery as to why Peter came back to Corrie St. I really can't think of anybody else on the street. Hopefully it isn't Liz or Leanne. Well played by Mary & Norris tonight - it was sweet to see him so concerned for his friend & she finally opened up to him. I guess we just have to wait & see. Yippee. Something to look forward to.
I think it's pretty clear that peter's new "love" will be Leanne's sister--it's someone on the street and she will be the only one available.
I would love it if Carla came back and she and Peter got together again, but I agree that Peter's new "love" is Toya. That will be the 'complication'- Peter is having an affair with the married sister of his ex wife.
How can that be feasible, when Peter lived in Portsmouth and Toyah lived in Liverpool? How would they have made contact in the first place?
All supposition and presumption. If you don't know, just make it up. There have been two recent cases of this, where people have been using guesswork to make things up. 1. Daniel being gay. Wrong. 2. Maureen Nuttall being Mary's previous name. Again wrong. Why can't people just wait till the plotline develops without coming up with these way off the mark ideas
Anonymous 8.23 - Because it's fun! And then we can howl with derision at the barmy way the writers make the story go, or pfeel intolerably smug because we saw that one coming a mile off :)
I'm with you Dolly Tubb - that is exactly how I feel and I'm sure a lot of viewers do also, well at least the ones that follow this blog page. Somehow the Peter/Toyah connection doesn't seem plausible - if it was Toyah why would Peter return to the street. Wouldn't he have gone to Liverpool instead? But then again, the writers have been known to stretch the boundaries of plausibility before.
Speculation is so much fun! Yeah, especially if you guess right.
If the Peter/Toyah thing is true, my speculation is that he came to Weatherfield knowing she was going to leave her husband i suppose. And Manchester isn't that far from Liverpool, 30-40 minutes by train, since Peter, jobless, would need to stay with family. I don't think it makes a lot of sense, mind you, considering he was married to Toyah's sister and she'd know what her sister went through being married to Peter but it's a soap so logic doesn't always come into it.
I disagree and agree with anon 8.23. I just takes one person to come up with a leftfield idea, then it snowballs until people are disappointed that it doesn't come true. Just follow the story and wait and see. All these make believe guesses are worse than the spoilers
