More revealed on Carla Connor's mental health storyline

Carla Connor will get her own episode this year which will focus on her mental health. This has already been teased by Coronation Street producer Iain MacLeod. You can read more on it here.

And today, Inside Soap magazine reveal more on Carla's worrying time ahead.

In the run-up to Peter's declaration of love for Carla next week, Carla's friends become worried about her state of mind and welfare.

Nick tells Roy that Carla's skipping meals and working all the hours God sends. Michelle is shocked to see Carla being rude to an old business client too.  Are these the first signs of Carla's mental health struggles, Inside Soap magazine asks.

Corrie producer Iain MacLeod says: "Carla makes the decision that her life's priority is her work. It leads to her making mistakes in her personal and professional lives. She ends up getting on the wrong side of a lot of people."
