There's an excellent article on the New Zealand Stuff news website putting the case forward for why Coronation Street is the essential comfort viewing we all need. Perhaps now more than ever. What with having to cope with the likes of Trump, Brexit, Piers Morgan - the world needs a cuddle.

And what better way than to sink into an episode of Corrie?

Yes, it's not all slippers and toast in front of the fire any more, not all the time anyway. But even with David threatening to slice his step-brother Nick's throat open this week, it's essential viewing that I wouldn't have missed for the world.

Totally agree. I love Tracy and Steve together now. I know, she got away with murder and all that but there are plenty of other ridiculous plot holes we have to ignore.
