HRH The Princess Royal visits Coronation Street

Coronation Street was yesterday visited by HRH The Princess Royal, alongside 50 senior and diverse leaders from businesses, Governments and NGOs across the Commonwealth.

The visit to the site was part of a wider CSC Leaders ‘Common Purpose’ visit to the UK.

Robbie Sandison, Head of Production for Coronation Street, said:  “It was a delight to welcome Her Royal Highness and leaders from across the Commonwealth to the cobbles.  Coronation Street has worked together across various industries in the Greater Manchester community for over 50 years and together with ITV we’re very proud of our place in the region’s history."

Did Sally have a special chat with the Princess? It used to be funny when Anne Walker made references to royal connections, even funnier when Vera did it. Sally would be amusing as well.

I realise that a royal visit trumps everything else, but why was there not one representative from the production team/management at Peter Baldwin's (Derek Wilton) memorial service today?

Correction - Peter's memorial service was yesterday, 14th April. Apologies for mistake
