Friday 29th April could be a very special day in the history of the Coronation Street Blog.
It's the date of the UK Blog Awards at which two of our team - Emma Hynes and Graeme Naylor - will be representing our team at the awards bash in that London.
You might like to follow Emma and Graeme on twitter as they gear up to attend the awards bash on Friday night. Emma is @ELHynes and Graeme is @GraemeN82. I imagine this is how they'll scrub up for Friday night:
Or even this, if Emma's got a new hat and Graeme goes for the bling:
The Blog is shortlisted in two different categories. The first one is Arts and Culture. The second is Most Innovative.
Because there is a team of us blogging here, we had to enter the Coronation Street Blog as a 'Company' rather than as an individual blog. However, we are not a company. We are not a commercial organisation, a firm, a business or anything more than what we truly are - a team. A team of Coronation Street fans.
If we win either or both categories on Friday night, there'll be a lot of celebrating going on. But, win or not, we'll be here the day after the awards bash - and the day after that - and the day after that, doing what we've been doing day in and day out since 2007. So, while Friday 29th April could be a very special day in the history of the Coronation Street Blog, so could Saturday 30th April, Sunday 1 May, Monday 2 May....
