Imagine, if you will, that you're the Coronation Street Producer, or top writer, or whoever it is who makes decisions such as these. Whoever it is, I expect they'll wear a natty tie and shoes with built-up heels.
Anyway, imagine you're in charge and you can decide on who the father of Kylie's baby will be.
Who would you choose - David or Nick?
In an interview, Paula Lane, who plays Kylie Platt, says this: "I absolutely love working with Jack (David) and I really don't want
that relationship to end, but at the same time Nick brings out a
different side to Kylie.
"I've had people comment and say she's a girl
when she's with David and a woman when she's with Nick and that's a
great way of putting it. There are massive benefits to each of them!"
But who should be baby Platt's dad - David or Nick?
Straighten your natty tie, kick the heels of your built-up shoes together, and give us your answer reply.

David's
It's been nice to see Kylie develop as a character. I totally loathed her when she sold her baby and then she and David took Max back off Steve and Becky which tore Becky to pieces. I also thought it ridiculous the way David went abroad and just happened to come back with Becky's sister in tow and didn't want them to marry as I wanted her to scarper. But they have grown together and I'd love to see them work out as a family. She also brings out the best in David. Kylie has now become one of my current favourite characters.
One reason I wouldn't want it to be Nick's baby as I couldn't stand more of Leanne screeching, getting on her high horse and take the moral high ground. We've had enough of that to last an age.
Hm was there a "moment" between Kylie and Nick at the hospital yesterday? Hey they dont even know if they did the deed, the pair of them were both so drunk at the time. I would like the bay bay to be David's and them revert back to the little family unit they were. If its Nicks it will be more SHOUTING from Leanne, and will split the Platt family apart. Note to producers: Sick sick sick of Gail now, she needs to be rested for a bit.
David's.
Also, remember when Gail slept with Brian's cousin, Ian, and didn't know which one was Sarah-Lou's father until Ian's blood test ruled him out?
Just sayin' Mrs Sanctimonious McInyre
Just wait until Gail finds out that her darling elder son was the other party, after all her disgust at her daughter-in-law. The back-pedaling should be fun! What a dilemma that will create. As for which of the siblings I'd choose, -Wow! A choice between incredible immaturity and selfishness, or just selfishness! With Kylie's history, it doesn't matter. They all deserve each other! I just don't want to have to watch!
Kylie's too good for David or Nick but she's better off with David. I have a feeling she may lose the baby, and so they will never know who the daddy is. Wait for it to come out at some drunken Christmas gathering in the future. I would really like to see Kylie develop and make something of herself and David reluctantly goes along with it. That means no children for a while and they get their own flat(hurray!).
It needs to be Davids or lose it just to keep the family together
Who really cares?
Neither one of them is mature enough to be a father and it seems that the most mature male in the group is Max.
Frosty, I also picked up on that 'moment' between Nick and Kylie at the hospital and with Leanne always shouting and looking as if she just sucked on a lemon, that may just drive him towards Kylie. I'm hoping it is David's baby though as they work well as a couple.
Nick is the better actor so I would rather see scenes bewteen Kylie and Nick. Jack Shepherd has never impressed me with his acting skills and I find his diction a little hard to follow. For those reasons the producers would be wise to make the baby Nick's.

I couldn't care less. Showing any interest only encourages more of this worn-out, tedious and lazy stuff.
I would like it to be Davids, so fed up of families being torn apart- Micky
Having it be Nick's would make for more drama, so I'm betting that it's his.
That would also unfortunately mean that we'll be treated to more hysterics from Leanne, who's turning into quite the harridan.
I hope the Baby is Nick's. I also hope that he and Kylie get together, David and Leann leave for good, and Peter and Carla live happily ever after. People in hell hope for ice water.
Others have mentioned "the moment" between Nick and Kylie. I saw that too. I wonder where the writers are going with this...
I think the baby will be David's but maybe Nick realises that he is in fact in love with his brother's wife?
As for Leanne. Ugh. More shouting, whining and moaning... oh wait she does that already.
I really don't see why anyone would want to be with her.
I want it to be David's but it'll probably be Nick's.
I picked up on the Nick/Kylie moment, too.
As to Jack Shepard's acting, he always looks like he's smelling something bad. He wrinkles up his nose and it looks stupid. I guess it's supposed to convey some sort of emotion.
Either David or Nick would make a good father. Both characters love children, and they're both raising their wives' son, and they're good at it. Simon isn't even Leanne's birth son, but you wouldn't know it by the way Nick treats him.
I want it to be David's, but I think it will turn out to be Nick's to make the storyline last longer. To echo Beth, I don't really want any more Leanne-based drama right now.
I also think Kylie and David are a good couple who have the potential to carry great storylines. Complaining they're not mature when they're together misses the point - Becky and Steve weren't mature, but they were FUN. "Mature" doesn't make for interesting or realistic characters. I also hope Kylie and David have a child together so in 18 years time the kid can be running around the street bashing things up with a crowbar, as will inevitably occur.
If I'm honest, I'll say that i hope she loses it. However, as part of the fallout, I'd like to see Kylie pursue something more substantial with Nick, as I like the direction her character goes when she's under his influence. Her relationship with David is a deadend road and I'd love to see Gail blow a gasket if Nick and Kylie become an item long term. Kylie could divorce David, take the house in the settlement (because she has Max) and Nick and her could put the boot to both David and Gail! Let Gail move in with Sally and David could fall back into the arms of Tina.
I hope it is David's.
I like him and if it turns out to be Nick's, it would finish him (David that is).
Please writers, give him a break!
I think it would be funny if Kylie ended up with Nick (Leanne is unbearable when she thinks she has everything she wants.) BUT the baby will be David's. He could become hardened by the experience...hence bad David comes back...but he has a soft spot for the child....the only person he will ever truly love!!!!!
Supported by Audrey....the only other person he will love.
It HAS to be David, otherwise I will stop watching corrie. Jack is a fan actor, and nick and Leanne are just rubbish characters. Kylie is amazing, and she is the main part of this storyline. I understand that if you make it nicks, it equals more drama, but a lot of viewers would like it if it was Davids.
David's not mentally ill; he's just a nasty little weasel who's rotten to the core. It's his personality - always has been and always will be. He reminds me of my two nephews - lovely Christian boys.
Of course it's Nice Nick's baby; David hasn't figured out what he's got "it" for yet, let alone what to do with "it"!! So the thought of David having spawned a David Jr makes me want to puke. Let him suffer like he's made other's suffer.
