ITV News has released this statement today after Michael Le Vell, who plays Coronation Street's Kevin Webster, appeared in court this morning at Manchester Magistrates Court.
"Michael Le Vell confirmed his real name - Michael Turner - and address. The Coronation Street actor entered no plea but his solicitor indicates he will fully contest the charges. The case has been referred to Manchester Crown Court for March 20."
Crown Court, as you will know, means there will be a jury to decide the case. We won't be putting anything else on the Blog until the outcome and have turned comments off on this blog post too.
