Here's some pictures released in advance by ITV of Coronation Street storylines for the week of February 18th - 22nd.
Kylie Platt gets drunk in the Rovers after Gail finds out it was Kylie who gave Lewis her online banking password. After a few too many drinks in the Rovers, Kylie ends up dancing on the tables.
But then she falls, and is rushed to hospital for emergency surgery as it turns out she's ruptured her spleen.
So will Kylie lose the baby? David comes rushing to Kylie's bedside in hospital. However, not only does he not know that the baby might not be his, and could be Nick's, he also doesn't know that Gail now knows that the baby's real dad could be Nick. Either way, Gail will be the grandmother which is more than enough for any little 'un to bear.

Not the old Kylie back again and jumping on tables - for goodness sakes. I hoped she had calmed and settled down and turned into a happy comedy duo with David. Why do the writers have to revert to type all the time? Not more scenes with Gail, she needs to be rested for a bit now, I am getting rather sick of her.
My first reaction when I read this *groan!* "awwwww c'mon! Noooo!"
When they don't know what to do with Kylie they turn her back into a drunken table dancer? *sigh*
And we'll get more of Gail's whispering, eye-batting, sticking her nose in ... again? *sigh*

I have to agree, we've seen all this done countless times before. Time to try something different. Paula Lane is a brilliant actress and deserves a whole lot better.
I am getting tired of the hospital bed scenes. They go there more often than they do to Devs or the Kabin. Perhaps they should have a little Newton and Ridley counter at the hospital.
"Kylie dies?!" "Gail collapses, frothing at the mouth?!" "Kylie's baby's dad is an alien?!" "Nick manages two expressions in one episode?!" "Stella's home remedy saves Kylie?!"
I just wanted to cheer myself up.
@JB -- the eye batting drives me BONKERS!!!! When are they going to get rid?!
I'm speechless. With these writers, the only way to depict Kylie's wild side is for her to get drunk and dance on tables. Then there is the added treat of yet another trip to Weathy General followed by Kylie returning to the Street the next day, right as rain, without so much as a bruise. RUBBISH!
What a drunken lush. Just basically becoming another Becky. It wasn't that long ago since she was doing this in the Bistro.
Well it would be a way for the new producer to eliminate one of the babies that they would have to do something with for at least the next 18 years.
Of course they could do a Ken Barlow and ship off the dozen or so new babies to Scotland or somewhere until they need a kid for a couple of weeks down he road.
After reading all this, I think Gail
should open her uncontrollable mouth
and tell David what Nick and Kylie
did at Christmas. This way the two can duke it out only to have Kylie
step in and try to break up the fight whereby she get's pushed aside
hard enough and has to be sent to
hospital. Now the real drama begins.
What say you ?????
