Coronation Street's Willie Piggott actor, George Cooper has died
Actor George Cooper who played Coronation Street's William "Willie" Piggott in the 1960s and early 1970s has passed away, age 94.
George Cooper joined Corrie to play Willie Piggott, an unscrupulous businessman and father of Brian Piggott. George also appeared as Willie in the Coronation Street spin-off Pardon the Expression in 1966.
George Cooper's other credits include Grange Hill, Doctor Who, Z Cars, The Avengers, The New Avengers, The Saint, Randall & Hopkirk (Deceased), Steptoe And Son, Some Mothers Do `Ave `Em and Billy Liar.
