The previews are in for next week’s Coronation Street and Nick’s in a bit of a mess. Leanne is still furious at Nick and won’t let him explain about his secret marriage.
Meanwhile, Nick tells Carla the deal is off and he is keeping his share of the factory now she has nothing over him. But then Elsa arrives and says that Nick defrauded her of £40,000 to buy into the factory. She also confronts an embarrassed Leanne who tells her she didn’t know Nick was married.
Carla suggests to Elsa that as she actually owns Nick’s share of Underworld they should go into business together.

Since this is still Kate Oates’ storyline, I think she has done a bad job with Nick’s character. Nick became likeable up until his wedding with Carla. After that, which was when Kate Oates took over, Nick has become so unlikable. He has been doing horrible things and he has been nasty to people with no explanation. Peter and David have become better people under Oates’ era. Before, these two characters were seen as the bad guys compare to Nick being a good guy, now it’s the other way round. I think it is very weak for Coronation Street not to give an explanation or show that explanation to audience on why Nick has become a terrible person, as a lot of people are confused with Nick’s sudden U turn with his personality.
