Spoilers! Coronation Street Christmas Preview

Affairs of the heart will set pulses racing in Weatherfield this Christmas as the residents of Coronation Street get into the festive spirit. But as families gather and glasses are raised will there be peace on the cobbles or will anyone find themselves on the naughty list?

At the Rovers Liz and Johnny are putting on a united front. But Johnny’s infidelity with Liz still hangs over them and Jenny hits the bottle. As her drinking accelerates it’s certainly not the season of goodwill for Jenny who sets about stitching Liz up online while tracking her every move. But as Jenny becomes more reckless how far will she go in her bid to take revenge?

With Sally behind bars Tim’s struggling to get into the festive spirit. But despite her sister’s plight, Gina is determined to bring Christmas to No. 4 and pull a cracker. Her feelings for Tim growing, a duplicitous Gina plays Sally and Tim off against each other. As Tim drowns his sorrows, Gina’s there offering a shoulder to cry on. But can she maneuver Tim under the mistletoe this Christmas?

Still reeling from Sinead’s cervical cancer diagnosis Daniel is determined to pull out all the stops to give his pregnant wife a Christmas to remember. As the Barlows and Tinkers gather for a vegan dinner there’s plenty to smile about but can Daniel succeed in creating the perfect family Christmas?

Audrey feels like all her Christmasses have finally come at once. With Lewis declaring his love, and a surprise windfall coming her way, Audrey pulls the Platts together to celebrate. But Gail still doesn’t trust Lewis and when his odd behaviour further heightens her suspicions she sets out to open her mum’s eyes to Lewis ‘the conman’. As Lewis plots is he up to old to his old tricks and will Audrey be left heartbroken once more?

Brian’s determined to bring the magic of Christmas to Bessie Street Primary. As he plans a Nativity production to beat all others he’s burning the candle at both ends. As boss Phil piles on the pressure Brian certainly puts on a showstopper which will be talked about for years, just maybe not for the right reasons!

As we move towards the New Year, Carla and Peter look back to Christmas past. Finding themselves alone in the disused snooker hall, which Peter plans to buy, temperatures rise as they ponder auld acquaintances. The chemistry still very much alive between them will Peter and Carla see in the New Year with a kiss or will 2019 be about new beginnings?
