Yesterday the tabloids were reporting that Kevin Kennedy, who played Curly Watts in Coronation Street, was returning to the show.
The news seemed to catch Kevin Kennedy in a positive mood and he responded appropriately on social media. You can read what he said here.
But there's bad news for Curly fans as ITV have now issued a statement via Digital Spy and it reads as follows:
"Over the weekend, it was reported that the soap was planning on bringing back Kevin Kennedy to reprise his popular character but a source has now told Digital Spy that that's not the case."
Ah, well, so there you have it.
