The previews are in for next week’s Coronation Street and the street is rocked when Aidan Connor commits suicide.
Aidan works it out that Toyah and Peter’s baby, Susie, is his own child and he confronts Eva about it.
Then, when Aidan doesn’t turn up to work at Underworld, Johnny lets himself into Aidan’s flat. He finds a note in Aidan’s handwriting, reads it and forces his way into Aidan’s bathroom.
He calls Carla who comes to the flat and lets the police and paramedics into the flat, breaking the awful news that Aidan has taken his own life. The Connors are overwhelmed with grief while Eva and Toyah are left to face their guilt.
