Do you remember Woolworths? So many of us have fond memories of Pick and Mix, buying our records and make-up along with birthday and Christmas gifts in this much missed store.
It doesn’t seem possible that Woolies has now been missing from our high streets for ten years.
Elaine Everest’s bestselling series set around one Woolworths store during WW2 brings back the nostalgia of wartime along with memories of the iconic store.
A Saturday girl back in 1969 in a store close to her home in Kent, Elaine has fond memories of her time as a Woolworths Girls and brings this to her books along with the history of the Thames-side town where she grew up.
Elaine is offering a copy of Wartime at Woolworths to one lucky winner who can answer the following question correctly. One winner will be drawn from all correct entries received and announced her on the Coronation Street Blog.
Overseas fans can enter this competition.
Deadline for entries is Tuesday 22nd May 2018 at 5pm. Good luck!
Entries from moneysavingsexpertforum, Loquax and all other competition entry websites will not be included.
Email your answer to glenda.sunderland@gmail.com with the word WOOLWORTHS in your email subject line.
