Preview of tonight's Coronation Street - Mon 14 May

Monday 14th May
JOHNNY SHUTS HIMSELF AWAY Desperate to understand Aidan’s motive, Johnny insists they visit his flat but once there it’s too much for Johnny who suffers a panic attack. Jenny’s treading on eggshells but when she points out that Sophie (who’s admitted not replying to a text Aidan sent) isn’t to blame for his death, Johnny rails at her and slouches off to bed. As Carla and Michelle sort through Aidan’s things, Michelle comes across Aidan’s will and is stunned at the contents.
THINGS GO FROM BAD TO WORSE FOR DAVID Gail suggests to Emma that it’s time she moved out. Will Emma take the hint? When Imran pushes Shona for the details of the extenuating circumstances she’s been alluding to which explain David’s behaviour will she reveal the truth? Meanwhile when David’s cell mate Paul gently tries to wake him up, David lashes out and shoves Paul against the wall.
AIDAN’S DEATH TAKES ITS TOLL ON ADAM A moody Adam orders Daniel to get rid of Flora. Daniel apologises but Flora’s unfazed by Adam’s outburst. Daniel invites Sinead round to dinner with Flora.
ELSEWHERE When Billy looks at Summer’s laptop he’s concerned to see she’s been using a forum for people who’ve lost someone through suicide. Tyrone proudly unveils a wind-powered dancing man advertising Webster’s Autos.

Monday 14th May
CARLA BRINGS SUMMER AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE Putting the will in her pocket, Michelle finds a letter in Aidan’s handwriting addressed to Johnny. With the family present, Johnny opens the letter and reads the words “I’m sorry, Aidan”. Robert’s taken aback when Michelle shows him Aidan’s will.
SHONA TRIES TO MAKE DAVID SEE SENSE Shona visits David in prison and implores him to tell Imran about the rape. When Shona admits she confronted Josh herself, David becomes stressed. Shona worries that she’s done more harm than good. Alya confronts Shona wanting to know why she so obviously dislikes Josh.
ADAM FINDS COMFORT IN AN UNLIKELY PLACE Over dinner Flora takes an instant dislike to Sinead and accuses her of trying to poison her! Daniel’s amused. When Flora later asks Adam about his day he finds himself opening up to Flora, revealing his fears that his ongoing feud with Aidan caused him to take his own life. Flora offers some words of comfort and Adam’s touched.
ELSEWHERE Tyrone’s horrified to discover his dancing wind man has been purposefully damaged.
Summer finally opens up to Billy about how upset she is at Aidan’s death. Sophie confides in Rosie how she showed Johnny Aidan’s text and he pretty much blamed her for Aidan’s death.

Josh getting caught in the crossfire when Phelan comes back is probably the best thing that could happen.

No need to drag out this story-line for months.

Why would the contents of Aiden's will be any business of Michelle's?

Re: the will, there's a firm of solicitors in the Street. Did Aiden consult them or give them a copy of the will? What's to stop Michelle tearing it up? I'm sure Carla will contest it on the basis that she only recently gave Aiden her share of the factory, and she now wants it back. Guessing that Alya and Carla will end up partners in the factory.

Carla gave Aidan the factory in the belief it would remain on the family. The gift superseded his will, so I think she’d have a very strong case in law.
