As a regular OCD sufferer, I think the way Kayla spoke to Craig was just terrible. She says her mother has OCD, and yet she mocks her mother in a very cruel way, and she was also nasty to Craig. If it had been me I would have walked out there and then and never ever ever gone back. I don't get how tptb can be so pleased that they are publicising issues such as sexual abuse, rape and suicide, and yet they are just using Craig's problems to get a cheap laugh.
I don’t think it was ever intended to be a cheap laugh. The point is that her joking about it, rather than tiptoeing around the subject, is what suddenly attracts Craig to her. You could see how pleased he was when Bethany said she was interested in knowing about his condition; suddenly there’s a girl who has experience of living with it and is relaxed enough around it to make jokes. Of course, I suspect Kayla has done her research and the whole thing is a trick to get herself into the Craig/Bethany orbit.
