As
the success of Coronation Street continues we are currently looking for
an experienced Camera Crew Leader to work in a variety of multi-camera
studio, psc and location environments for the nation’s favourite drama.
Whilst
collaborating with the Director and Camera Operators, you will be able
offer to suggestions for creative shots or alternative perspectives
whilst having empathy with our cast and crew. You will have experience
of working in a drama environment, and be a confident operator in both
studio and on location, working with our Grips team. You will be
committed to your own development and the development of your peers,
offering guidance and support to the junior members of our camera team.
Our
Camera Crew Leader will be able to operate a range of camera equipment,
primarily in High Definition formats and have experience leading and
developing a team. You will have demonstrable experience of operating
studio pedestals, dollies and tripods with a proven interest in camera
techniques and technology. You will also be proficient in hand-held
camera operation, and possess an understanding of sound and lighting
techniques, camera tracks and cranes whilst keeping up with new
techniques, equipment and technology. When rigging and setting up
equipment prior to shooting, you will be able to utilise basic fault
finding techniques for first line maintenance and repair.
With a
systematic approach to problem solving, you will have the ability to
determine what makes a good shot and how camera work enhances creative
storytelling whilst being able to communicate that vision to others. You
will be a team player, willing and able to support others and work
together to achieve shared team goals within our Coronation Street
family when required. Due to the very nature of this role,
confidentiality and discretion are a must, filming hours are demanding
so a flexible approach is essential.
