THREE HEADS ARE BETTER THAN ONE AT THE BISTRO Leanne implores Nick to bury the hatchet with Robert and move on. Taking Leanne’s advice, Nick confronts Robert and tells him he’s ditching his plans to set up a rival restaurant and wants to call a truce. Robert’s taken aback and suggests Nick might like to buy back a share of the bistro. While the arch rivals haggle over percentage share, Steph summons Leanne, who wades into the argument and suggests they split the bistro 50/50. Nick and Robert finally agree on condition Leanne returns as their manager. As Nick and Leanne head home, Nick suggests they go on a proper date, but mindful of her condition will Leanne agree?

Aidan enigmatically tells Eva to meet him at Carla’s flat later and pack an overnight
bag. Eva’s thrilled, convinced he’s going to ask her to move in. An excited Eva arrives at Carla’s flat with her suitcase. Aidan’s bemused as he explains it’s Johnny’s house-warming and he’s booked them a surprise mini break at a spa hotel. As the penny drops, how will a humiliated Eva react?

Suspicious Craig wonders if Beth has got some dark secret which is why she doesn’t want him to join the police force. Beth covers and insisting he has her full support, reluctantly posts the application form.
ELSEWHERE Gemma tells Dev she wants to improve herself and suggests she could become manager at the kebab shop. Dev’s scornful but later shows Gemma an article about the ‘Good Neighbour Scheme’, suggesting she should give it a shot. Although I'm no fan of Phelan,I am glad that a customer will finally tell Alex off for being hung over and giving bad service to customers.
Roy gives him a job as a favour to Cathy and in return Alex shows little respect thus endangering Roy's business in the process.
It's not fair that Roy is stuck with an irssponible employee just because he's Cathy's nephew and a part of the 'package deal' should he and Cathy get married.
The thing is, Alex is a grown man. If he needs constant attention, it should be down to his mother to look after him.
I agree. I am tired of the Alex character. It's going nowhere and he is just annoying at this point. Cathy allowing him to walk all over Roy just because he's her nephew is stupid. He's very disrespectful and a liar and adds nothing to the show.
I agree with all of the comments above. Alex is a liability and Roy is kind enough to put up with him. Like any other employee he should pull his weight or be sacked.
Are we supposed to like Beth? Personally I can't stand her, how Craig turned out to be such a lovable, kind lad is beyond me. Beth is loud, rude and doesn't have an ounce of class. I quite like Kirk and feel sorry that he is lumbered with a witch like her.
I agree with anon above, I have never warmed to harridan caricature Beth. She's vicious and mean, and thoroughly unlikable, so it's not surprising she is friends with Tracy. Her only redeeming feature is her love for her son.
Did I miss something or was the Alex scene cut?
Robert and Nick weren't much better, and they don't have Down's syndrome holding them back. Since Leanne had a line of credit with Ken and they both wanted her back, I wish she had negotiated a share for herself. For a lady with street smarts, it was a painful miss.
looks like the Alex scene was cut - did the new рroducer have her say?
I thought I'd missed something too, I don't remember Phelan saying anything to Alex at all. ??????
I'm sorry if it was cut because it might have shown that Alex was a realistic character, manipulative and selfish like his mother. I hope it wasn't because of worries about viewer complaints. More reasonable would be the fear that Phelan would be revealed as a bully.
