The Daily Star reports that Helen Worth, who plays Gail McIntyre, has pledged her future to Coronation Street. It says that Helen has scotched rumours she was going to retire when she weds teacher Trevor Dawson at the Ritz in London.
A Street source said: “Helen’s told bosses she is happy to stay as long as they want her. She’s getting wed but there’s no chance of her quitting.”
I'm happy to hear it, she's fab.

Too bad I would love to see to see the back of her. Can't stand the character what more can the writers do with her? Not another loser boyfriend!

I am getting a little tired of Gail now to be honest, same as Deirdre, the writers really need to think of what to do with these to ladies. Deirdres character was much better back in the 1980s
If it in the Daily Mirror it is to be taken with a large pinch of salt. But to be honest her blinking and whispering style of acting would leave her out in the very cold if she were not a long term passenger on the gravy train that is Coronation Street.
My favourite character! Gail, in my opinion, is the Street!
You're right that it's a non-story. Why would an actor quit because she's getting married? Would they write this about a male actor? Grrrr.
