Coronation Street fan of the week - Shaun in Canada

It's Wednesday and time to meet another Corrie fan of the week.
Would you like to be our Corrie fan of the week?

Who are you and where are you from?
Hello, I'm Shaun R. Cash from Stirling, Ontario, Canada.

How long have you been watching Corrie?
I believe it was about 1997 I started watching.

Who are your favourite male and female characters and why?
My favourite current male character would be Nick, because I suppose we are of common ground. Favorite current female is definitely Eva because in the past it was Raquel and Eva's the closest thing since. Her place at number one will be handed over to Sarah Grimshaw if she does come back though.

What's been some of your favourite Corrie storylines over the years?
My favourite stories from ago would be Raquel's ever so brief 'return', the whole Hillman situation, when Katy killed her father, the last few weeks of Becky, Maya was a very good story to follow, and (most) of the tram crash week. Tony's was a tremendous exit, and Mr. Stape! Wish that could have even went on longer. This Rovers thing? All I can say is it's not the best story even though the Rovers burned, but I'm glad it does away with Sunita and hopefully leads an end to Karl and Stella.

And what would your fantasy storyline be?
My fantasy storyline would be Sarah coming back, settling back in, finding a mate, and anything that follows from there? Sad? Maybe? But with the 'new' street about to be debuted, there will be lots of room for her to buy a flat somewhere. As well, I think since Kevin is gone, maybe Tyrone can get the garage for himself, and a few weeks of sucking up and apologising to him can be done from everyone on the street.

Hey, nice little write-up, Shaun, from another Canadian! I started watching around that time too, when we could still get Classic episodes on the W network as well. I was part of organizing the petition to try to get them to keep them, alas they refused.

Silly question - is your home so big that you need that long broom? I'm assuming it's a home from the sofa. :) You don't have to answer that - just wondering.
