Coronation Street fan of the week - Chad in Northern Ireland

It's time to meet our Coronation Street fan of the week.
Would you like to be our Coronation Street fan of the week?

Who are you and where are you from?
My name is Chad and I am from Northern Ireland

How long have you been watching Corrie?
I watched Corrie all the time throughout the 90s as a child and well into the 2000s. Before catch-up services I lost my way a little after 2010 but I came back when Kate Oates took over as producer and now I watch it religiously on ITV hub every week.

Who are your favourite female and male characters - and the reasons why?
Female: Blanche Hunt, because she had some of the best one liners and always made me laugh out loud.  Male: Adam Barlow, because well just look at him - he's gorgeous!

What's been some of your favourite Corrie storylines over the years?
I remember the Mad Maya storyline vividly so that's a favourite. Richard Hillman's reign of terror too. Having seen clips of classic Corrie I love all the Raquel and Curly stuff and pretty much anything involving Bet Lynch. Her shortlived comeback notwithstanding.

And what would your fantasy Corrie storyline be?
If they were able to entice Suranne Jones back as Karen that'd be awesome, just to see her go up against Tracy again!

Have you any snippets or news about meeting any of the Corrie cast, or trips to the set, etc., that you'd like to share?

I haven't had the opportunity to visit the set. Hopefully after lockdown when we're allowed to travel again. Andy Whyment once opened a Poundland near me as well so I caught a glimpse of him at that lol unfortunately that's about the height of it!

Coronation Street Fan of the Week - Val in Canada

It's time to meet our Coronation Street fan of the week.

Who are you and where are you from?

I am Val Chaulk from Newfoundland, Canada.

How long have you been watching Corrie?

I have been watching since the early 70's

Who are your favourite female and male characters - and the reasons why?
Blanche and Rita are my old time favourites, now it would be Emma and Tim. Emma is sweet and funny and kind and so many other lovely traitsm I think she is a great addition to the show.  Tim seems like the guy next door, everyone's favourite neighbour. He's not the sharpest knife in the drawer but hey we all need a spoon sometime.

What's been some of your favourite Corrie storylines over the years?
Any storyline with Roy in it is good watching. I had a hard time picking between him and Tim as my favourite Male character. Loving his scenes right now with his niece. She seems as quirky as him. I love Gemma and Rita's friendship as well.

And what would your fantasy Corrie storyline be?
I'd love to see Roy find a new love, bring in a sweet lady who has a giant heart and a few oddities about her, good ones, no hidden secrets or agenda. I believe he deserves a real love.

Have you any snippets or news about meeting any of the Corrie cast, or trips to the set, etc., that you'd like to share?
No, sorry!

Who are you and where are you from?
Lois Graham from Johnstown, Pennsylvania, USA

How long have you been watching Corrie?
Since 2012. My first show was the day Peter and Carla returned from abroad: Episode 8013, 10th December 2012.

Who are your favourite female and male characters - and the reasons why?
That is a tough question; I truly love everyone!  If I have to choose, I would say Tracy (she’s honest, hilarious) and David (he is passionate, loving, funny).

What's been some of your favourite Corrie storylines over the years?
Kylie’s death broke my heart. As much as I hated Pat Phelan, it was a great storyline. I always loved Michelle and Carla’s friendship. Aidan’s suicide.

And what would your fantasy Corrie storyline be?
Charlotte the Chicken’s mates gang up and kill Geoff.

Have you any snippets or news about meeting any of the Corrie cast, or trips to the set, etc., that you'd like to share?
Patti Clare liked one of my tweets! My Secret Santa got me Corrie stamps, a cookbook, a Roy’s Rolls mug, a Corrie calendar, a book called “Street Talk” for Christmas. Manchester and the @itvcorrie set are on my list for when I get back to the UK!

Coronation Street Fan of the Week - Rebecca in Lancashire

It's time to meet our Coronation Street fan of the week.
Would you like to be our Coronation Street fan of the week?
Find out more here!

Who are you and where are you from?
I'm Rebecca from Lancashire

How long have you been watching Corrie?
Since 1995. First memory I have was the Tracy Samir kidney donation and drug collaspse

Who are your favourite female and male characters - and the reasons why?
I love Hayley and not because Juile Hes is from the same town as me. Nowadays I like Jenny, Abi, Emma and Fiz. All are entertaining and strong women. Male - probably Jack as he was just iconic. Now I like Steve, Tyrone and David. Steve for his goofiness, Tyrone because he's quite normal and David he's just David.

What's been some of your favourite Corrie storylines over the years?
Free the Weatherfield one for sure. Also the whole Richard Hillman storyline and the Pat Phelan story as well.

And what would your fantasy Corrie storyline be?
I don't think I have one. I would like Ty and Fiz to get married as I think it's time and would love to see Evelyn meddling in everything and being a naggy grandma.

Have you any snippets or news about meeting any of the Corrie cast, or trips to the set?I got a selfie with Connor McIntyre (Pat Phelan) when I went to see Cinderella and met Sherrie Hewson when I went to the original Corrie tour at Granada Studios.
