Hello and welcome to Tuesday. Sunday's episode was actually Monday's, so we're getting ahead of ourselves.
We start with annoying new character Ritchie, who says he's off to Liverpool. Hurray! Although I imagine we haven't seen the last of him by a long chalk, or even a medium one. Tim tries to play marriage counsellor and get Ritchie to make it up with his wife, but then when he goes to the marital home to return his cousin's wallet, he finds Ritchie covered in blood and an unseen body in the living room.
I mean, I know Who Killed Theo has been solved now, but do we need yet another murder mystery? We're in Weatherfield, not Causton.
The solicitor's office set must have been repurposed or demolished as Alya and Adam have all of their meetings in the cafe. Adam tells Alya that she's missed a deadline for filing papers with the court and she needs to choose - Daal or the law. Given how many residents of the street end up in chokey, being a lawyer seems like the sensible choice and she tells Leanne she's selling to a family friend. A friend by the name of....Idris?
Lisa tries to crack Maria's alibi for Gary by saying how much Gary must care for Sarah to help her cover up a murder. Maria is quite rightfully mad at Gary that she spent the whole morning being interrogated and accuses him of still being in love with Sarah. In the meantime, Inmate Platt dumps Kit to save his career, and he accuses her of still being in love with Gary. Are TPTB pushing a romantic reconciliation and bringing the houses of Windass and Platt (back) together?
