Actor Kevin Kennedy is better known to us Coronation Street fans as Curly Watts. And he'll be returning to telly this Christmas. Kevin, that is, not Curly - but come on, Corrie, get him back!
Kevin will be starring in Mrs Brown's Boys on BBC1 and he's playing the role of an angel called Clyde.
You can see Kevin in the Christmas Day episode of Mrs Brown, which is called A Wonderful Mammy and will be screened at 10.30pm on BBC1.

My Christmas wish - to have Curly, Spyder and Angie Freeman back on Corrie.
I thought this was great news until I saw what programme he's going to be in!
I'd love to see him back again, even if it was just a quick visit to see Kevin.
Why? And what would that achieve? For them to be given naff storylines, like Toyah, and then people starting to dislike them and saying mistake bringing them back. I'd rather keep good memories of them, than them be turned into figures of contempt. They're only add good as the scripts they are given
Anon, I agree partly, and certainly with your last sentence but occasionally they do get it right. Not with Toyah! They don't seem to have a clue what to do with her now. On the other hand, Debbie Webster's recent brief return worked well I thought.
Touché Louby. I forgot about her! Thank you. Maybe that's the answer, bring these characters back in short bursts only, so we're not waiting for them to leave again
I used to love seeing old characters return, until I realized it only ruined the character....Dennis, Toyah, Big Jim, for example.
Sarah seems to have worked out ok, but the ones we really want back never are...Todd and Jason, and Emily of course!
