More danger for Rita in 2020 storyline

Poor Rita. As soon as she's recovered from the worst Christmas, ever, she's set to face more danger in an upcoming storyline, reveals Inside Soap magazine.

The magazine says: "More peril awaits when she and some of her pals from Weatherfield are trapped on a party bus that loses control while the gang is travelling to Blackpool - with heroic Rita forced to take the wheel!

"But will it be Rita's new attitude towards life that puts them all in danger in the first place?"

Corrie producer Iain MacLeod says: "Rita is OK physically after her accident but it will have more far reaching consequences in terms of her perception of her own life, her place in the world and her role on the cobbles.  That'll play out in the first two months of 2020."

Rita’s problem is that two weeks ago she had a lovely fully decorated Christmas tree which then mysteriously vanished without explanation. Dev appeared with another one, but no stand or pot to put it on, decorated it fully in a matter of moments. It then fell over, though the cat didn’t bat an eyelid! Moral of the story...don’t decorate a tree and then give it away !!
