On Friday night last week at the end of the second episode, we were given a glimpse of what life could be like in Coronation Street in the coming months.
As far as I know (but do correct me if I'm wrong), this shot above is the first of its kind that we've ever seen. It looks into Coronation Street from Victoria Street - is that right?
There are plans here showing the Victoria Street extension.
And here's everything you need to know about the new Coronation Street expansion of the set.
Here's what we know so far.
- Executive Producer Kieran Roberts has promised more comedy and inclusion of characters that aren't used as much as they could be. He also says there will be a police station, a school and a court. Read more on that here.
- View the plans of the new police station here.
- More plans for Kitchener Street detailed here.
- Conversion of the Corrie brewery is taking place - details here.
- Building plans for set expansion have been submitted by ITV to Trafford Council - details here.
