Corrie Weekly Awards for July 24 - 28

Cosplay award: Mary and Norris dressed in Star Wars clobber!

Not the Romance Of the Century: Mary asked Norris to marry her so they could be legitimate Mr. and Mrs. for the competition. The man, he say Yes!

Bible award: Her name might be Leanne, not Mary, but she and her baby were offered a room at the Inn. Rovers Return Inn, of course!

Fashion Trend award: Liz has jumped into the boat of people wearing black rimmed specs.

Continuity Fail (again): Sally threatened Gina with having to pay her rent. But I'm sure Sally used her connections to get Gina a nicer council flat. Why isn't she living in it? What did I miss?

Well Placed Signage award: I think Robert needs to take his own sign's advice.
Lines of the week:
Beth "an alcoholic running a pub..." Roy "It worked out for Sam Malone" (of Cheers fame) Beth "Is that the fella with the eye patch that runs the Flying Horse?"
Mary "I've got myself into a dilly of a pickle" (oh, good one!)
Mary "Mother used to say every time you lie, an angel's wings catch fire" (said with perfect delivery!)
Sinead to Gemma "I've only got an hour for dinner and your mouth is taking up most of it"
Gina about Sally "You should have seen her in the olden days before she became Lady Muck. She could turn her hand to anything... and did!"
Mary "I have worn this exact outfit on the bus many times and let me tell you. It's a lot less trouble than the Chewbacca get-up" (hahahahaha! I did NOT expect that)
Audrey to Gail "You're like some harbinger of Doom, you are"
Moira "Friendship is no substitute for a tight ship"
Michelle "Stop whining and grow a pair. You're even more high maintenance than Steve" (this coming from the High Maintenance Queen)
Drew's father "I denied my son in life. I will no deny him in death" (about flamin' time!)
Rosie "The thing that you use when you want to put things in and put them in the post" Gina "An envelope"
Rosie "It's so weird how some words just won't stick with me no matter how many times I hear them, they just seem to slip away"
Summer to Amy "You may be shallow and dim and vain but at least you say what you think" Amy "Is that an insult or a compliment?"
Billy "Do you think we might be out of our depth?" Todd "Oh yeah. Definitely out of our depth"

My favourite part of the blog.Corrie Awarda!

Why is Gina even on the soap, it's like she has turette's and says whatever comes to her mind, highly unlikeable character.
Mary and Norris = awwwwwww

Amy vs Summer, love it! Fantastic actresses

Musical ambience award.
Fix you by Coldplay when Peter and Leanne were talking about Toyah's IVF problems.

Fashion fail.
Toyah. What was that blue floral, gown, tied smock, dress thing? I don't know what it was, but it really didn't suit her

Rosie is too young for Alzheimer's so she should just focus that bird brain of hers and it should all come back to her.

Rosie's passing comment to Toyah about how she'd do anything for her sister has me wondering how long before we have yet another surrogate story. Never thought I'd say this, but looking forward to more Amy/Summer interaction.

Who said anything about Alzheimer's? That's a bit strong. She's meant to be ditzy and not some sort of memory kids problem

Anonymous said...

Oops, meant memory loss problem. Darn you predictive text

Another one who is looking forward to seeing more of Amy and Summer together. I think Amy has met her match!

Be careful what you wish for Award,Michelle thought life with Robert and running the Bistro would be sweeter than her life with Steve only to find out it's worse.
I wonder how soon before she has another fling with Will?

It's a well known early sign of Alzheimer's that you remember what a thing is and can describe it using several sentences but you can't remember its exact name. Normal memory loss would be forgetting to mail a letter not forgetting the word for letter.
