Todd and Billy to Marry - Yay or Nay?
Now that Todd and Billy have Summer, they're the first #LGBT family that Coronation Street has ever had.
Obviously, as this is the world of soap, things won't always run smoothly, for where would be the drama in that? And soaps need drama, of course.
But what if, let's say, just for a little while, Todd and Billy could be really happy together? Let Summer bring some sunshine into their lives and maybe, just maybe, we might even see Coronation Street's first gay wedding.
I'd love that to happen for no other reason than to see what Eileen's fascinator might look like.
But what do you think? Should Todd and Billy get married - Yay or nay?

I'd absolutely love them to get married! Have to say the scenes with Todd and Billy adapting to life with Summer (and the added bonus of Amy) were the highlight of Friday's episodes for me. There's a real chemistry between the actors and I think it would be wonderful to finally see a married same-sex couple on the Street.
It would be great.
Todd is brilliant however I find Billy rather annoying but I'm glad Todd is happy.
The wedding would have to be chaotic though.
Yay, why not!
I know that actors hate them but I love a good wedding. With a social circle that includes Tracy, Phelan, Sean, Adam and Geraldine, what could go wrong? Plus, if they were married, they could live at the vicarage. Yay!
But would the bishop actually approve of the nuptials? It's one thing Todd and Billy being able to legally marry in the eyes of the law, but acceptance by the church, that's another story, I really don't know. I personally would love to see it happen
Yay, in the sense that I'd love to see them married, but realistically, Nay, as it would absolutely mean Billy leaving the Church (and I'm sick of people on the show giving up responsible professions for relationship reasons and ending up doing a dead-end job. Sorry, abbyk, but they would certainly NOT be allowed to live in the Vicarage. The CofE would not countenance one of its priests marrying.
I have mixed feelings. I'm all for it, but why does everyone have to be married??? I get tired of the idea that everyone has to be paired up and married off. Especially on a soap because we all know what happens before it's over with.
Otherwise, I'm loving this storyline. I've always been a fan of Todd (except when he was being just awful to Eileen) and I'm enjoying seeing him happy and going out of his way to help Summer and make amends with Billy.
All Corrie weddings end badly. It says so clearly in the Corrie rule book, so I say nay.
I say nay as well because we know as soon as they're married, they'll throw a wrench in the relationship and it'll be on the rocks. This is all looks like happy families for now, but somehow I think will be doomed.
The fact that this situation works so well is down to the acting abilities of both actors. Well done!
Nay, if they don't marry, they can't divorce.
Oh yes let it finally happen!
Billy and Todd are one another's soul mates. They complement one another so well. They've been through many hard challenges, both as individuals and as a couple. Todd has finally faced his personal demons as has Billy. They now are going to be responsible parents to this young girl, and so far they are handling the challenges quite well. If the powers that be allow the wedding to take place, it will be one of the best to always remember. So please let it happen!
I'd love to see them get married but without the usual drama, like previous comments have said. Surely they have had enough drama already to last a lifetime?!
(Roy, Hayley and foster children - LGBT family?)
todd is way too sexy to marry billy so no it should not happen
Ya I would love to see them get married
Yah !! yes please ....that would be lovely
Yay definatly i would love that so much!!
