And how, pray tell, would Caz have the brains or the wherewithall to organise a webcam? Yes, I know she nicked Maria's credit card, but she hasn't got the brains she was born with. Takes a bit of intelligence to sort all that out.

Web cams are easy these days. I set one up last week for security at our cottage. As a not very tech savvy senior, I just followed the instructions and it worked first time, remote access and all!

I suppose it's too much to ask that the police check all the charges to the credit card that was used to buy the phone that sent the nasty texts? Seems to me that they should in case other items were purchased such as a gun, knife, rope, etc, etc. Surely then they would have seen the purchase of surveillance equipment? Golly, storyline goes poof!!!

I couldn't agree more. I really didn't think Caz was a master of surveillance! This story has gotta be one of the worst ever. I hope someone shows TPTB these posts so they can understand the displeasure that this plot is causing people

Caz was supposed to draw money out from a cash machine. She could've purchased the relevant equipment with cash

So where is she operating this surveillance equipment from? I know you can have webcams linked to your phone, my daughter in law keeps an eye on her property in Brazil when she's in the UK. But I'm not very tech-savvy either so where is Caz getting her phone battery charged? Don't tell me she's hiding out up in the loft over Maria's flat, that would just be too stupid. Someone must see her popping in and out of the flat like she does.

If you look at the pictures above, Caz looks like she's sitting in a flat reading a tablet. Where has she got the money from for a deposit and rent on a flat and buy a tablet? She was always saying she's skint. She couldn't possibly have drawn all that out of a cash machine. This story is creating more questions than answers

My first thought was that Caz was hiding in the loft, doesn't look like like it though.
Another stupid story being dragged on and on.

Come on you armchair detectives! Anyone recognise where Caz is?

Looks like it could be a cheap bedsit, it's not very clean.

I don't know much about web cams but presumably Maria's flat has a device hidden somewhere. Peanut will find it. Hooray for trained dogs.

What gives you that impression that it's not very clean

This plot line is going from bad to worse. Please, put it out of its misery - and soon!

Here here! I haven't seen one positive post on this site supporting this plotline. Surely the viewers opinions must count for something?

The cupboard door is filthy where people would touch it.

It reminds me of the flat where Tina McIntyre lived. I'm drawing a blank as to above what it was.

If Caz has any sense at all, she's bought her webcam second hand. Then it would be cheap and hard to trace back to her even if discovered.
There must be a few unoccupied flats on that street; people would rather crowd their family homes than move out. It reminds me of a place where Tina lived at some point.

Surely the flat can't be in the street? Whoever she rented it from would surely say that Caz had moved in? Also I think Steph, who shared with Tina, still lives there

Maricha said...

Oh, I forgot that Tina had a flatmate when she died.
I was thinking of an unrented unit, something Caz noticed was empty by living on Coronation. It must be nearby, if it isn't on the street itself. I'm not sure but those cameras used to have a rather small range and you can't stalk someone unless you're where they are.
Oh, well, we'll know soon enough unless they drag this out.

I seem to be in the minority in that I don't mind this storyline! Yes there are several implausible elements to it (already been mentioned ex. where would Caz suddenly get the money for a flat and equipment). However I don't think Corrie has had too many examples of a stalking storyline, at least not with a digital element (Stef's is the only one I can think of recently?), so I think if they play it right it could be good.

I see where you're coming from, but I don't want the story to drag on forever! It's been previously mentioned on here that out could last until Christmas! That thought just fills me with dread

The old sly devious smile appears again and again. Gawd ... kill it already.

Seems to me that lately storylines are dragged on and on for eons - it's getting worse rather than better. Pretty soon we will have Sean, Billy & Todd show up (if they are still part of the cast) and have that weary threesome again. Never fails.

It's not a particularly interesting situation, but, after having to toss out all the scenes they were planning with Sharif I wonder how much leeway there was.The situation at the Nazirs' is what was supposed to last until the holidays but it couldn't go on as planned. Meanwhile, they already have all the actors and sets they need to expand the stalking story.
From now until the holidays what we're seeing is likely, at least, a bit influenced by the firing of the actor who played Sharif.

Well, jamila House flat is emрty (why didn't sharif рut sonia there?) and number 12 is emрty (until brian returns)

Anonymous said...

Surely she was caught on camera whilst withdrawing the cash.

Anonymous said...

My thoughts exactly, but Maria said the same thing to the police when she was being interviewed. The police said they were checking the cctv. Please, let them find her drawing out the money!
