ITV is switching off all seven of its channels for an hour on Saturday 27 August.
This is, they say, to encourage people to get off their sofas and take part in sport following Team GB's Olympics success.
ITV will stop broadcasting from 09:30 on Saturday 27 August as part of the I Am Team GB campaign. This means that if you rely on catching up on Corrie on Saturday mornings on ITV2 you'll not be able to watch the show at the usual time.
The Coronation Street set is hosting a live event as part of I Am Team GB and you can find out all about it here.

Well I am rarely watching tv at that time. If I am not in for watching Corrie at the regular time I record it, or at worst use catch-up tv.
It is not as if the supposed cash-strapped BBC having been force-feeding us Olympics on their 98 channels ! I suppose this is ITV's answer !
Sounds like a money saver to me.
