On December 9 next year Coronation Street will celebrate the 60th anniversary of its first episode going live to the nation.
What do we know about celebrations for the 60th so far? Well, a live episode is rumoured. And also, a documentary called Queens of the Cobbles. You can read more on that here.
Sally Lindsay, who played Shelley Unwin in Coronation Street, is joining the Queens of the Cobbles documentary for the anniversary. In her column in OK magazine, Sally says: (via Digital Spy)
"I rang some of the girls doing it and asked them, 'What do you think?' and they were like, 'Why not?' It was an amazing time."
I'm also hoping that there might be events for fans to join in with. Take a look at my blog post about what Corrie could learn from Peaky Blinders fandom.
The 60th anniversary Coronation Street calendar is already on sale. Have a look here.
